Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for the detailed design of varying types of projects constructed with reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber, and masonry. Duties include:
- Analysis and calculations, interpretation of codes, preparation of drawings with technicians, and preparation of specifications
- Performance of civil/structural assessments, inspections and field reviews, and preparation of reports and estimates
- Collaboration with team members to ensure schedule and budget is met

- Annual base salary: $90,000–$125,000, determined by factors such as education and prior work experience.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
- A valid class 5 BC driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English)
- Technical competence and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work within budgets and schedules
Additional Assets
- Experience working with the BC Building Code
- Experience in designing with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Industrial structural analysis experience
- Experience in a consulting environment
- Experience in a construction setting
- Experience in Microsoft Office, S-Frame, and AutoCAD
- Interest in traditional building methods and the restoration of structures over 100 years old
